John Gilbert

John Gilbert has over 21 years of real estate development experience; 18 years of which were concentrated developing residential communities within the Central Florida Market, and the past 3 years in Austin, Texas. Mr. Gilbert served as the former Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Avalon Park Group (APG) and maintains a partnership relationship with APG upon his relocation to Austin. He is President / Owner of TexDev, LLC (formally Floridev Corporation) that has specialized in complete land development efforts and services, managing communities / developments for over the last 15 years. He has also served as a former Director / Vice President of Land Development for Pulte Home Corporation, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders. He received his MBA in Real Estate and Urban Development from the University of Florida, and as well his BS in Finance from the University of Florida. Mr. Gilbert is an active, licensed Florida Real Estate Broker and continues to serve as the Broker of Record for APG. Mr. Gilbert is a member of the Urban Land Institute.
