Avalon Park, Fla. (May 17, 2018) – Mejana, a new restaurant concept featuring fresh Mediterranean fare, is coming to Downtown Avalon Park in June.

The restaurant, co-owned by Amr Sam and Alex Abdo, will feature fresh gluten free falafel, hummus and shwawrma and gyros at reasonable prices.

One of the specialties at Mejana will be the first restaurant in Orlando to offer a unique Italian treat that will be unveiled at opening. The equipment to make this desert is being ordered from Italy.

“There’s no better place in Orlando than Avalon Park to open this concept,” Sam says. “We know the tens of thousands of people in and around this community will love the very unique meals Mejana will offer.”

Avalon Park has strived to offer a diverse group of restaurants in its downtown location. From cupcakes to cheesesteak, pizza to Mediterranean, Avalon Park’s downtown offers just about any type of restaurant for any taste.

Mejana is expected to open in June 15 at 12001 Avalon Park Blvd. East, Ste. A. The restaurant is leasing nearly 2,000 square feet.
